Heffanutt ran to the three and into the storage there, filled the sack and run back home. At the same time, the squirrel visited Heffanutts house and collected nuts. The two of them were running back and forth faster and faster, both determent to get back what was stolen from them. Heffanutt on the ground and Squirrel up in the trees, never meeting each other.
Heffanutt ran as fast as his short feet could carry him, but no matter how fast he ran his storage would never fill up. Every time he came back to his house he saw that some nuts had disappeared. By the end of the day, they were both exhausted and even with so much work put in, their storages were still the same size as in the early morning.
